The rules of the road for using DeadlineMind

What DeadlineMind does, what we promise (and what we don't), how refunds work, and how we interact with Canvas. Plain language; brand names will be substituted in the production pass.

  1. Service description

    DeadlineMind is an academic protection platform built to make sure you never lose marks to a missed deadline or an unread late-penalty policy. The service catches every upcoming deadline, interprets your course's late-penalty rules, and protects your grades by surfacing what you owe before you submit.

    DeadlineMind is offered on a free tier that covers assignment tracking and basic grade recording, and a Pro tier at $5/month that unlocks unlimited grade entries, grade forecasting, and PDF exports. Plan details are available on the Pricing page.

    Features, plan limits, and pricing may evolve over time. When they do, this Terms page and the Pricing page are updated so the documented offering stays the source of truth.

  2. No warranty

    DeadlineMind is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

    We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every deadline will be detected. DeadlineMind is a planning aid; you remain responsible for confirming assignment requirements and submission deadlines with your institution.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of DeadlineMind is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim. Where money-back remedies apply, they are governed by the Refund policy below and the processor's terms.

  3. Refund policy

    One-time payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's refund policies. Eligible refund requests should be sent to the contact channel listed on our Privacy page; we will work with the payments processor to honor verified requests.

    For the $5/month Pro subscription, you may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops all future charges from the next billing cycle onward. The current cycle's subscription fee is non-refundable except where required by Stripe's policies or applicable law.

    If a refund is owed under our money-back guarantee, the amount is credited back through the original payment method through Stripe.

  4. Canvas API acknowledgment

    Canvas is a product of Instructure, Inc. DeadlineMind integrates with Canvas through the official Canvas application programming interfaces (APIs) provided by Instructure. All Canvas trademarks, service marks, and trade names are the property of their respective owners, and are used here only to identify the integrated service.

    By connecting a Canvas account, you confirm that you are authorized to share that account's data with DeadlineMind and that your use of DeadlineMind complies with your institution's acceptable-use policy and any applicable terms between you and your institution.

    You may revoke DeadlineMind's access to your Canvas account at any time from account settings or by removing our integration in Canvas. Revocation stops future data syncs but does not delete data we have already collected — see the Privacy page for deletion rights.
